A nice dark verse

This is a clever idea, well written and conceived.

This is a damn fine verse you've got on your hands here. Damn fine, I can picture a number of different scenes going on and know all of them are not what the writer meant. I like that very much.

I was reading this thinking, what a champion verse and then I reached - sand that smells of rain - What a line, what a sense of the moment it evokes...

Eyes have a habit of doing that, revealing the truth, to those who can read. And excuses too, have a habit of telling lies. Very nice write.
